I had my first baby in October and was looking for a plan to help me lose the baby weight. Even though I was pretty active throughout my pregnancy (4-5 CrossFit classes a week), I didn’t always fuel my body with the best foods. Ok, ok I basically ate everything in sight…candy, cake, bagels, chips…you name it! I ended up gaining 60 pounds, and it was no surprise that it would be a struggle to lose the weight, post-baby.

I met Tina and Kerrie years ago at CrossFit 781 and was extremely excited to see that they started their own custom meal planning business. Four weeks postpartum and after a couple of talks with Tina, I decided to sign up for the 8-week meal plan. Since I wouldn’t be able to be as active, or even active at all, I knew that I needed to dial in my nutrition in order to get in the shape I wanted to be in.

The first week of meal planning was definitely overwhelming. It took me almost 4 hours of prepping, cooking and cleaning that first Sunday. I was a little doubtful at first. I wasn’t sure how I’d be able to keep up with doing this every Sunday and taking care of a newborn. Luckily, I have an extremely supportive husband that watched the baby so I could make sure I had all my meals in order for the week. With everything prepped and in containers, I was able to conquer week 1 with no problems and the scale was reflective of my hard work.

Week after week, I was excited to get my meal plans. The ease of having everything planned out for me each week was amazing. There were so many recipes and combinations that were on my meal plan that I never would have thought to make. My all-time favorites are the Chicken Fajita Bake and the Cowboy Caviar. They both have become staples and I still continue to make them. Tina is an amazing coach and truly took the time to make sure I was happy with my meal plans. I had so many restrictions (gluten and dairy free) due to breastfeeding, and Tina was more than willing to work with them. DTFN was the perfect plan for me, and I loved that checking in with my coach every week held me accountable.

The 8 weeks were over before I knew it, and I lost a total of 16 pounds and 4% body fat. With the help of Tina and what I learned through DTFN, I was able to lose a total of 50 pounds and 5.5% body fat postpartum!
